Yes, a prescription is required and any practicing physician, licensed nurse practitioners, physician assistant, podiatrist, or chiropractor can write it. If you would like a consultation, feel free to call the office to schedule.
Yes, our office provides a billing service as well as assistance with obtaining pre-authorization for physical therapy through major medical and worker’s compensation companies. The number of visits allowed and amounts paid by the insurance company is variable, depending on the type of policy. Our office staff will call to verify coverage with your insurance provider and discuss their findings before beginning any treatment. We will send the claim directly to you insurance company
The initial evaluation normally lasts 60-90 minutes and about 60 minutes for subsequent treatments. Duration of treatments vary depending on the type of treatment provided and may be addressed on the initial visit with the therapist.
The cost will vary depending on the injury and type of treatment provided. Payments are obtained through personal insurance, personal payments, worker’s compensation, or liability/motor vehicle insurance.
The number of visits varies depending on the patient’s needs and are outlined by the therapist and the referring physician on the prescription. Typically, patients are seen 3 times per week, however, this may vary from 1 visit per week to 5 visits per week.
Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate for the injury. For example, shorts should be worn or brought to change into for a leg injury so the body part can be treated easily. Shorts can be provided if necessary.
